How much longer can we wait before we drive the islamofaciests from our country, they can't be trusted to be loyal to a country that has bent over backward to make them welcome.
Alleged American Al Qaeda Warns of U.S. AttacksABC ^ Brian Ross
Posted on 10/28/2004 3:18:23 PM PDT by tdewey10
NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2004 — A man describing himself as an American member of al Qaeda says a new wave of terror attacks against the United States could come "at any moment," according to a videotape obtained by ABC News. The tape was acquired by ABC News last Friday from a source known to have Taliban and al Qaeda contacts in the tribal region of Pakistan. ABC paid the source $500 in transportation fees.
While CIA officials say they have not been able to authenticate the 75-minute tape, an agency spokesman says it "appears to have been produced by al Qaeda's media organization, al Sahab productions." The tape is marked with the same logo and graphics seen on previous videos released by al Qaeda.
The man on the tape is identified only as "Azzam the American." U.S. officials say they had not previously known of the nom de guerre. His face is never fully visible and he makes no reference to where in the United States he might have lived.
"No, my fellow countrymen you are guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. You are as guilty as Bush and Cheney. You're as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell," he says in what he calls his message to America. "After decades of American tyranny and oppression, now it's your turn to die. Allah willing, the streets of America will run red with blood matching drop for drop the blood of America's victims."
Senior administration officials told ABC News tonight that copies of the tape are being provided to all 13 current and former administration figures mentioned by name in the tape, and that the tape is being shown to captured al Qaeda leaders in U.S. custody to see if they can identify the man on the tape.
"A member of al Qaeda who professes to be a U.S. citizen was always coveted and looked for by the al Qaeda," said Jack Cloonan, a former FBI agent who interviewed a number of captured al Qaeda members and is now an ABC News consultant. Cloonan said he believed the tape to be authentic.
Law enforcement officials and linguistic expert Gerald Lampe, deputy director of the National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland, believe English was not Azzam's first language. They speculate he may have learned English as a child in a household of non-native speakers.
U.S. officials believe there are several Americans working with al Qaeda, including Adam Gadahn, a former Southern California student who is wanted for questioning by the FBI. U.S. intelligence officials say the voice on the tape does not match Gadahn's or that of any Americans suspected of being part of al Qaeda.
Azzam makes references to several American officials, including 9/11 Commission Chairman Tom Kean, and even refers to the controversial remarks made by comedian Bill Maher about the cowardice of the U.S. launching cruise missiles compared with terrorist suicide attacks.
And he warned that Sept. 11 was only the beginning.
"People of America, I remind you of the weighty words of our leaders, Osama bin Laden and Dr. Ayman al-Zawahri, that what took place on Sept. 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America," said Azzam. "And that Allah willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about Sept. 11."

US expert believes Osama network active in Bosnia
Bosnia, of course, is held up by some "experts" as a bastion of Islamic moderation. And in many ways it is just that; but the moderates' lack of a theological foundation within Islam makes them always vulnerable to radical encroachment. From AFP, with thanks to Ali Dashti:
BANJA LUKA, Bosnia-Hercegovina : Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is actively directing terrorist cells in the former Yugoslav republic of Bosnia, a top US terrorism analyst told a local daily.
Yossef Bodansky, director of the Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare of the US Congress, told the Glas Srpske daily that terrorists responsible for the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad last year were trained near the central Bosnian town of Zenica.
"There is a terrorist network in Bosnia, composed of several well-trained and connected groups, which are directly or indirectly responsible to ... Osama Bin Laden," he was quoted as saying in the Serbian-language paper.
He said the cells were using Bosnia as a training ground and a gateway to send terrorists to western Europe or to hide them on their way to the east if they were on the run.
"The network in Bosnia ... is training and controlling terrorists who later travel to Western European countries," Bodansky said in comments translated from Serbian.
"On the other hand, terrorists for whom arrest warrants have been issued in the west are coming back to Bosnia where 'liaison officers' welcome them and provide accommodation and hiding places, and they are later transferred to the east." ...
Foreign Muslim fighters were ordered to leave Bosnia under the 1995 peace accords, but some of them stayed and obtained citizenship either on the basis of their army service or by marrying local women.

Spain: 13 Islamic radicals arrested for new bomb plot
From the Jihad Watch Blog, by the way this blog is great for keeping up with what are fascist friends are doing I highly recommend putting it in your favorites. The link is at the end of the news.
Evidently dhimmi Spain still can't jump high enough for its jihadist masters. From Expatica, with thanks to Ali Dashti:
MADRID - Spanish police have arrested 13 more suspected Islamic extremists in connection with an alleged plot to bomb the country's national court.
Eight of the new arrests were made late Thursday in Madrid, Cadiz and Valencia while five suspects were already in custody.
They bring to 30 the number of arrests in connection with the alleged plot.
National Court Judge Baltasar Garzon imprisoned 17 suspects - ten of them already in prison for other crimes - last week on suspicion of being members of a group called Martyrs for Morocco.
"These [new] arrests are the result of all the documentation seized from the detainees last week and all the information gathered by the judge during their interrogations," a police source said.
The terrorists are said to have planned to detonate a lorry loaded with 500 kg of explosives near the Audiencia Nacional, Spain's national criminal court where all terrorist cases are heard.

The Dump
I don't think that anyone knows just what was in the dump. Its clear to me the UN has lied about marking anything in that place. Everyone involved doesn't seem to remember seeing what the UN claims. Moreover the press is trying to be very specific as to what was in weapons dump, citing the UN as their source for the type of munitions in question. They are trying to make a distinction that has none. The press wants to say the military removed some munitions but ignored the stuff the UN says was there. If the our military's to be believed ( and I do ) the UN claim must be false, as nothing in the place appears to have been marked by the UN inspectors. The press is trying to make the case that the UN is correct and Bush blundered. Doesn't it make you wonder which side the mainstream media is on, they constantly argue as if the US is in the wrong and they call themselves non-partisan.

Senator Hagel endorses Lee Terry
In a blow that probably ends for Nancy Thompson quest for the 2nd district congressional seat, Senator Hagel endorses Lee Terry, while not unexpected it looks to be the final nail in Thompson's coffin. RIP Nancy.

The whole world wants in
LONDON (AP) - President Bush's campaign Web site was inaccessible to surfers outside the United States and Canada after a series of outages last week that may have been electronic attacks.
The site, www.georgewbush.com, "appears to be rejecting visitors from most points outside the United States, while allowing access from U.S. locations," said Netcraft, a British Internet monitoring company.
Attempts to access the site by Associated Press reporters in Europe, Mexico and the Middle East were unsuccessful on Wednesday.
Both the Bush site and the site of the Republican National Committee, www.rnc.org,We can't say precisely, except that it seems to be a decision by the maintainers of the Web site," Rich Miller, an analyst at Netcraft, said in a telephone interview.
Netcraft said it monitors Web site response times from four locations within the United States and three in other countries.
"Since Monday morning, requests to georgewbush.com from stations in London, Amsterdam and Sydney, Australia have failed, while the four U.S. monitoring stations show no performance problems. Web users in Canada report they are able to visit the site," Netcraft said.

Residents no-shows at Fahey town hall meeting
Maybe this has something to do wth the youth between 18-26 not wanting to vote?
BY C. DAVID KOTOK
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER
Mayor Mike Fahey and a baker's dozen of the city's top officials prepared Tuesday to take every complaint from Cathedral-area residents at a town hall meeting.
Then they waited . . . and waited . . . and waited.
"Let's give 'em a couple more minutes," Fahey said in the entrance of the Cathedral Cultural Center.
Nothing.
In an area of the city known for its activist neighborhood groups, not one soul showed up for the mayor's 7 p.m. meeting.
Maybe they were all Boston Red Sox or St. Louis Cardinals fans glued to the World Series. More likely, speculated Fahey, they were simply worn out by all the Destination Midtown and Omaha By Design meetings geared to transforming the neighborhood.
It was at least the second time that no one has shown up for a Fahey town hall meeting. The turnout at the neighborhood meetings has been spotty.
Some aides offered the spin that it meant everyone is happy with City Hall. Fahey said the program has not outlived its usefulness.
"It's a lot better than sitting back until the hot line rings," he said.

The Death of the Democratic Party Written by Barbara Stock Thursday, October 28, 2004
The Democrat Party of my father is dead. It started to die with Lyndon Johnson and the ''Great Society.'' Jimmy Carter crippled it, but it could have been saved. Bill Clinton put a stake in its heart and John Kerry has let his party bleed to death. There is no hope now. The Democrat Party is almost devoid of morals, honesty, or integrity. Its members have thrown it all away in their rush for power and in their headlong plunge towards socialism. The liberals don’t even try to keep it secret anymore. They don’t care who knows. They just keep lying.
To win the election in 1991, the Clinton camp put out their ''October Surprise.'' Lawrence Walsh handed down a last-minute indictment of Casper Weinberger and that tipped the scale in Clinton’s favor. Interestingly, if one checks, he will find that the Senate Committee Report on Drugs, Law Enforcement and Foreign Policy was chaired by none other than Senator John F. Kerry. Perhaps Bill Clinton climbed out of his sick bed to repay a favor.
In 2000, a Democrat operative leaked the news of a George Bush drunk driving arrest that was 25 years old. It nearly cost Bush the election.
This year the Democrat lie-machine has been moving at warp speed. The truly horrifying thing is that Democrats have openly been joined by their ultra-liberal friends in the media. The New York Times has totally sold its soul to the Kerry campaign. CBS has sacrificed 50 years of credibility to assist John Kerry. Can anyone now believe anything either of these once irrefutable sources of news puts forth? Not only has the Democrat Party committed suicide, it has taken many great American icons with it. It was all done in the name of power and the need to regain it.
The Democrat Party never recovered from loosing the Congress in 1994. Democrats have been bitter and angry ever since. When Al Gore lost in 2000, the rage turned into blind hatred. Democrats perpetuate the lie that the Supreme Court ''gave'' the election to Bush. They did not. Democrats continue to insist that a million African Americans were ''disenfranchised'' in the last election in Florida. They were not. Now they circulate a disgusting pamphlet that tells minorities if they try to vote, evil Republicans will hit them with fire hoses ''like they did in the 1960’s.'' Pay no mind to the fact that most of those using fire hoses were following the orders of southern Democratic governors.
For the 2000 election, Democrats put out ads that showed a man being dragged to death behind a truck while saying Bush was against severe penalties for ''hate crimes.'' This ad ran while the men responsible for that very crime were on death row. Is there a more severe penalty than death for such a crime? Are not most murders ''hate crimes?'' Then the liberals have the gall to accuse Bush of executing more people than any other governor--which was another false statement.
Can today’s Democrats say anything that is not a lie? Is it possible anymore? Do they care? If they can’t win an election honestly, then they will just lie and cheat.
Ohio's Republican Governor Bob Taft has reported that four counties have now been found to have more people registered than actually live in the counties and are eligible to vote according to the last census. The old Democrat saying ''vote early and often'' is alive and well. Be sure to drag dead or senile grandma with you so you can vote for her as well.
Now we have this year's ''October Surprise.'' The Democrats, in concert with the New York Times and CBS, are trying to convince Americans that Bush allowed 350 tons of high explosives to fall into the hands of the enemy. The way the story was written, it sounded as though the explosives were stolen last week or yesterday. As it turned out, they probably were not stolen at all.
The plan of the editors was a good one, but they forgot about those pesky reporters who were embedded with the troops. The reporter embedded for NBC, Dana Lewis, now with Fox News, states that he saw no weapons with the IAEA’s seal on them as he walked the complex when the troops arrived on April 10, 2003. Mohamed El Baradei, head of the United Nations nuclear watch-dog group, had reported in February 2003, that some of the high explosives had already been moved. The IAEA also reported huge explosions at that site during the opening days of the war. One has to ask, since these weapons were illegal under the United Nations agreement with Saddam, why were they not removed and destroyed when they were found by the IAEA?
The last visit from the United Nations organization was in January of that year. Sometime between January and April, Saddam probably moved many of those explosives. A complete inspection of the site was done on May 27, 2003, and nothing with an IAEA seal was present. There were several deep craters. How does one get 40 semi-truck loads of high explosives out past roads teaming with American soldiers and the sky full of spy planes without being seen? Who would have organized such an operation? The Saddam government was in chaos and there was no insurgency at that early date.
Why then did the Mohamed El Baradei, chastised by Bush for not know about Libya’s weapons of mass destruction program and being weak in its dealings with Iran, leak this story to the media? Remember, El Baradei knew these explosives were missing in May 2003, when it was reported to him that our inspectors had found no such weapons at that complex. Why did he wait until one week before the American election to reveal this ''news?'' Could it be that the mighty and corrupt United Nations feels its world supremacy is threatened by President Bush? Is it possible that it would feel much more comfortable with John Kerry who has already pledged his allegiance to the United Nations and stated that dying under the U.N. flag is honorable, but dying under the American flag is not? John Kerry voted against the Gulf War because he felt the war should have been carried out by United Nations commanders, not American generals. Kerry wanted to do the unthinkable--put American troops under foreign command.
This election year has been like no other. Outside interference from Europe in the form of mass e-mail messages pleading with Ohioans to vote for Kerry and British newspapers printing columns with statements like ''Where is a Lee Harvey Oswald when you need him?'' Terrorists like Yassar Arafat endorse John Kerry. Forged documents and blatant lies abound. Democrats have sold their souls to the devil in an attempt to regain their power, and the devil wants his due.
Hopefully, Americans will bury this rotting and decaying Democratic Party on November 2, 2004 without allowing it to totally corrupt our democratic system beyond repair. If we are lucky, Bush will win in such a decisive manner that Kerry’s army of 10,000 lawyers, poised to make the election a living hell, will be sent home. A new Democratic Party may rise from ashes and if it does, I hope that there will be at least a few honest people among them. But at this point, I’m not going to place any bets on it.

Kerry's allies the Russians moved munitions
GERTZ // THURSDAY // WASH TIMES: Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned. John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, “almost certainly” removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.
Media Bias in Omaha
If I didn’t believe there was a leftist bias in the print and broadcast media before Thursday’s debate, I would now. Seated up front were various local media personalities and one self-proclaimed publisher Ben Salazar.
The purpose of the gathering was to discuss why voters between the ages of 18-26 weren’t interested in voting, one of the luminaries even called this disenfranchisement, ignoring the fact that nothing stopped the young from voting except a lack of desire. Several of the panelists suggested the young voters didn’t read the newspaper or watch T.V. They suggested the youth didn’t seem interested in the news anymore. Off course these are the same reasons put forth by media experts every election cycle to explain the low voter turnout in this country, regardless of age.
Ben Salazar brought a slightly different perspective. He publishes the only Spanish newspaper in Omaha with a singular focus on the Latino population. Salazar claims the Hispanic young are not interested in the war, a topic driving the election for many other voters. Hispanics are more interested in amnesty for their undocumented friends. Considering President Bush has proposed an amnesty program earlier this year one might think the Hispanic youth would be motivated to vote if Salazar was correct. What do I know I am just a student?
Salazar also suggested if the youth faced the prospect of a draft they might care enough to vote. This may be true but does little to explain why they don’t vote now. Salazar was also quick to point out that he disliked both candidates but was going to vote for Kerry while he “held his nose.” I wanted to ask him who he voted for in the last election and the one before that. I suspect he disliked Gore and Bush, but “held his nose” and voted for Gore, I bet that’s how he voted every time and every time for a democrat. Makes one wonder why he even votes.
Another who stood out from the group was an editor from channel seven. After arriving late he quickly condemned the new media, (I.E. Bloggers, the internet and Rush Limbaugh.) saying people who get their news from such places weren’t getting the facts. Ben having conveniently forgotten the recent Rather forged document debacle, apparently Rather doesn’t let something like the facts get in his way either.
Ben even claimed that Rush Limbaugh said Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9-11. I knew then that our friend Ben had never listened to Rush, because Rush has never made such a claim. The only thing Rush has claimed is Iraq has sponsored terrorists and some of them were members of Al Qaeda. The same thing the recent 9-11 report claimed. I know, as a member of his 24-7 pay site, I haven’t missed a program in over a year.Ben, like many in the partisan press fail to realize that Rush does not claim to be a reporter or unbiased. Rush doesn’t claim to be anything but a Conservative Republican. When you listen to Rush, you know what he believes. If you’re not conservative don’t listen to him. Unfortunately with the mainstream media such a choice is mostly denied us. Media representatives like Ben and Salazar claim to be unbiased, and they report only the facts, but Thursday proved this wasn’t the case, and hasn’t been for sometime.
October Surprise
I don't have much to say about this except I wish they (being the mainstream press) would shut up about it. I don't think such a thing exists as a planned event. All this talk about surprises boors me and probably others. The press wants its viewers to think that something shocking is going to happen between now and the election, they like to build suspense because its good for ratings. After the election they will go back and pick out something that occurred in the campaign of the winner and call that the surprise. It's nothing more then hindsight, but the press wants us to believe its a regular occurrence that will undermine one of the campaigns-preferably Bush's. Moreover, they are always trying to manufacture a surprise, disappearing munitions is just one example, funny how the so called surprises always seem to benefit Kerry. Shut up already!

Just in from Jihad Watch
Not only are the French opposing us in the UN and abroad, their Muslim citizens are coming to Iraq to fight against the Liberation. I've long thought that the US military has been waiting to strike in Fallujah, simply to get as many terrorists in one location. Imagine if most of the worlds terror leaders and supporters are in one location and we move in, no more Fallujah, no more terror leaders and no more recruitment, all dead. We can only pray. Oh yah thanks France, you have been such a great friend over the years.
In Europe, it is extremely bad form to suggest that anyone in the fast-growing Muslim immigrant communities there harbors any attachment to violent jihad. To do so will get you immediate charges of "racism," as Brigitte Bardot, Oriana Fallaci, and others can testify. However, how long can they continue to ignore news like this? From AFP, with thanks to Jeff Lastname:
PARIS, Oct 22 (AFP) - Intelligence agents have identified the first French national known to have been killed fighting with the insurgency against US forces in Iraq, officials said Friday.
The 19-year-old, named as Redouane El Hakim, is believed to have travelled to Iraq via Syria at the start of the year and been killed in a US bombardment on Fallujah in July.
Officials close to the case, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Hakim was one of several French citizens of Muslim background who have gone to Iraq to fight along insurgents there.
"It's difficult to estimate their number, but there mustn't be more than around 10 or so," one official said.
So far. After all, what is stopping them in France from recruiting and increasing their numbers?

What is going on here, first Flagstaff, now Cincinnati. What is wrong with these shit for brains liberals. What gives them the right to steal and vandalize the Republican party's offices throughout the nation. ,this crap has been going on for the better art of the campaign and shows no sign of ending. When Bush wins will they do; take to the streets like the Rodney King riots and murder and pillage. It would seem that liberals have no respect for the law or other people unless it is a law they like or people they like. Apparently everyone else can kiss their collective assess.
DOWNTOWN - Cincinnati's headquarters for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign was broken into overnight.
Money and a sign were taken from the office, on Seventh Street near Court Street. The thieves got in by breaking out a window.
The office was also ransacked, officials said. It also houses other Republican organizations.
No one had been arrested.

Ohio Provisional Ballot Ruling Reversed
Some sense is returning to the Ohio electoral process. At least the federal appeals court understands that just cause so guy wanders in off the street and says he's a voter doesn't mean he's a voter.
CINCINNATI (AP) - A federal appeals court ruled Saturday that provisional ballots Ohio voters cast outside their own precincts should not be counted, throwing out a lower-court decision that said such ballots are valid as long as they are cast in the correct county.
The ruling by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals supports an order issued by Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell. Democrats contend the Republican official's rules are too restrictive and allege they are intended to suppress the vote.
Ohio Democrats on Saturday night decided not to file an appeal in the case, one of the first major tests of how such ballots will be handled in a close election. Polls show that the race between President Bush and Sen. John Kerry in the key swing state is too close to call.
Federal judges in several states have issued varying rulings on the issue of provisional ballots, which are intended to be backups for eligible voters whose names do not appear on the rolls. Saturday's ruling was the first time a federal appeals court has weighed in.
The state's Democrats had filed a lawsuit challenging Blackwell's directive instructing county elections boards not to give ballots to voters who come to the wrong precinct and to send them to the correct polling place on Election Day.

Teacher Jailed After Brawl With Parent
It makes you wonder who we're letting teach are children anymore. Not only are our students being undereducated, now it appears they must worry about the teachers. I wonder what the cause of all this was.
MACON, Georgia - A teacher-parent brawl in front of 19 primary school pupils sent a mother to the emergency room and the teacher to jail.
Teacher Katrina Ann Rucker, 30, is charged with battery and cruelty to children for allegedly beating a parent who tried to retrieve her daughter's book bag, The Macon Telegraph newspaper reported Friday.
According to police interviews, parent Lurella Amica went to Bruce-Weir Elementary School Thursday morning to deliver a note to her 9-year-old daughter.
At the classroom door, the girl told her mother that Rucker had thrown her bag in the trash can, the report stated. Amica entered the classroom and tried to get the book bag, but Rucker grabbed for it and the two struggled, the report said.
After Amica wrestled the bag away, police say Rucker picked up a chair and hit her in the back, knocking Amica to the floor. Rucker then began punching Amica in the face and body.
During the fight, the girl was reportedly crying for her teacher to stop hitting her mother and ran up to them. Rucker then allegedly hit the child, pulled her hair and pushed her out of the way before starting to strike the mother again.
Rucker dragged Amica by the hair outside the classroom, according to the report.
"A school administrator and another teacher had to pull the teacher off the mother," Macon police spokeswoman Melanie Hofmann said.
In Rucker's account of the story, she said Amica hit her hand during the initial struggle, Hofmann said.
"The teacher said she was defending herself because she gets a shot in that hand and it hurt," Hofmann said.
Amica was in stable condition in the emergency room of The Medical Center of Central Georgia late Thursday night.
Rucker was placed on administrative leave.
Sylvia McGee, Bibb County's deputy superintendent, said school staff called the parent or guardian of each child in the class. Social workers counseled students, and only Amica's daughter left school early.
Principal Karen Konke sent letters to parents about the incident.
"Let me assure you the school is safe and that our students have been involved in appropriate instructional activities throughout the day," Konke wrote.

Congress gives us something we all use to have Access
"Congressional Leaders announced Friday" This to me sounds like mighty Caesar has decided gift the people with bread and Circuses. How humbled we all must feel, the Senate will give us something that prior 1993, no one had a problem getting. What we have here is the Government manufacturing a problem and then like paternal friends, volunteering to make it better. Thank you Al Capone, I will pay the insurance premium, it will protect me from you and your other gangland buddies. How about this fearless congressional leaders, end the governments flue shot program, make it impossible for the trial lawyers to sue manufacturers for accidents and I bet the "problem" will go away all by itself.

Washington (AP) - Just days after it was revealed that anyone with a U.S. Capitol credential could get a flu shot there, congressional leaders announced Friday that 3,000 adult doses of the hard to find vaccine were being donated to the District of Columbia. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (website - news - bio) , D-D.C., sent a letter earlier this week to the Capitol's attending physician, urging him to turn over excess vaccine supply to the city that is home to the federal government I believe that most members of Congress and staff on the Hill would want to lead by example during this public health crisis," Norton said. The vaccine was being given to the D.C. Department of Health, which will distribute the vaccine based on need, said Dr.Gregg Pane, the department's acting director. Combined with donations from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and a private law firm, the city has about 5,800 extra adult doses for the elderly and chronically ill. The city is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to acquire an additional 30,000 adult and children's vaccines by early December, pane said. The D.C. Hospital Association, the city's major physicians associations, two private health clinics and a city-run nursing home will give the vaccines to people in the high risk groups, Pane said. City officials believe that working with doctors to determine who should get the vaccine is the fairest system. "Hopefully there will be an orderly distribution, through these people who do this all the time, as opposed to having a big clinic or a lottery. Those could be disruptive if there was a large turnout or maybe the highest priorities within those groups didn't get it." Montgomery County (website - news) , Md., is holding a lottery for its 800 doses. Officials there had received at least 10,000 applications by Thursday night. The city's Health Department issued an emergency rule last week requiring health care providers to give flu shots only to those needing it most. Caregivers who violate the order can be charged with a misdemeanor and fined up to $1,000. The office of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., had been turned into a makeshift clinic where shots were administered two days after federal health officials asked anyone not in a high-risk group to do without. Frist had said the lawmakers who rolled up their sleeves were doing so based on either federal guidelines or the recommendations of their own doctors. Officials said about 9,000 flu shots were administered last year to lawmakers, their staffs and others employed on Capitol Hill. That number dropped to about 2,500 this year, after contamination at a British plant cost the U.S. about half of its vaccine supply.

The UN is against Elections in Iraq
The UN has opposed intervention in Iraq for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was the oil for food scandal. Why should the UN help Iraq, failure can be used against the UN's true enemy, the United States. See below
BAGHDAD -- Iraq's interim government complained yesterday that the United Nations is not doing enough to help prepare for January elections, saying the organization has sent fewer election workers than it did when tiny East Timor voted to secede from Indonesia. "It is unfortunate that the contribution and participation of U.N. employees in this process is not up to expectations," Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari told reporters. U.S. and Iraqi forces have stepped up operations seeking to curb insurgent violence, so that Iraqi voters throughout the country can choose a new transitional government in January. But Mr. Zebari complained that the United Nations has not sent enough election experts to help prepare for the voting. He said the number of U.N. workers expected to help in the election was far smaller than the 300 workers the United Nations sent for the 1999 independence referendum in East Timor. Iraq has a population of more than 25 million, whereas East Timor's population is estimated to be between 800,000 and 1 million.
The United Nations pulled its international staff out of the country a year ago after bombings at its Baghdad headquarters killed 22 persons, including the top U.N. envoy, Sergio Viera de Mello.
U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has since allowed a team to return to help with elections but imposed a ceiling of 35 non-Iraqi staffers. In the meantime, the United Nations is training Iraqis outside the country, so they can return and instruct other Iraqis on how to run an election. Mr. Annan said Tuesday in London that he had sought to form a U.N. brigade to guard U.N. workers and facilities so more staffers could be sent in, but complained that he had gotten no offers of troops. U.N. officials in New York said yesterday that Fiji was the only nation to respond to Mr. Annan's request and would send 130 soldiers to Iraq next month to protect senior staff and U.N. offices. Since the bombings at the U.N. headquarters a year ago, attacks on foreigners have grown worse. CARE International suspended operations in Iraq yesterday, a day after the aid group's director for Iraq, Margaret Hassan, was abducted. Her family said yesterday they have received no demands from the kidnappers. In other developments yesterday, Staff Sgt. Ivan L. "Chip" Frederick, 38, pleaded guilty to five charges stemming from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. Sgt. Frederick, the highest-ranking soldier charged in the abuse case, was expected to be sentenced today.

From Omaha.com
WASHINGTON - In his three terms representing the 2nd District, Lee Terry has developed a "nice guy" image and a reputation as a willing worker for his party.
Terry has viewed nearly every assignment from party leaders - even ones that make most members chafe - as an opportunity to learn and to move up in the ranks.
As a result, the 42-year-old Omaha lawyer has accepted time-consuming assignments, given up top billing on proposals when committee chairmen asked, and plugged away at rules and legislation that rarely make headlines.
Terry's glass is perpetually half full. He seems perplexed that other members of the politically charged, individually driven House of Representatives turn down such chances. "I enjoy it," he said of one task - presiding over sometimes less-than-exciting House debate.
The question is whether his approach will win him a third term on Nov. 2 and put him in a position to move into leadership roles in the House.
Loree Bykerk, a political science professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, said Terry has not given his constituents in the 2nd District much of a legislative record. "Three terms is enough to be identified with an expertise area," she said, but she doesn't see that yet in Terry.
Terry acknowledged having had little success in moving his bills, and he expressed disappointment at having been denied a seat on the energy subcommittee three times. But he says he has finally built the seniority and respect required to be a player in Congress.
Committee chairmen are more receptive to his ideas than before, he said, and he has a better command of House rules and issues.
"My personal belief is that I've just come of age," he said.
Terry acknowledges that many of his legislative priorities could take years to accomplish. Among the proposals he's made: encouraging development of alternative energy sources, such as hydrogen fuel cells; overhauling Medicare, the national health program for retirees; and making sure the nation's laws on telecommunications keep pace with technological developments.
Terry has long held political ambitions. The son and namesake of the failed 1976 Republican candidate for the 2nd District seat, Terry has followed politics since childhood and was active in the young Republican group while at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
His goals in the House, he said, are to rise to leadership positions on the Energy and Commerce Committee, to which he was named in his second term.
Seats on the panel are coveted because of its focus on business issues and subsequent access to campaign contributions.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, a donations watchdog, half the $868,000 that Terry had raised as of late June came from political action committees, more than 90 percent with ties to business. The largest donations came from employees or political action committees associated with Qwest Communications and SBC Communications, formerly Southwestern Bell.
Terry said he will try to become chairman of the panel's subcommittee on telecommunications and the Internet, of which he is a member, and perhaps some day the full committee.
However, with his wife, Robyn, and three young sons living in Valley, Terry says he is not sure he wants to spend the 14 years he estimates it will take before he is in line for a full committee chairmanship.
The current chairman of the subcommittee, Michigan Republican Fred Upton, said Terry "is energetic, he understands the issues. He only moves up."
Terry serves as whip - tracking other members' positions on bills - on Upton's subcommittee and is one of several dozen members of the larger House Republican whip organization.
Terry has sided with his party on 96 percent of votes last year, according to Congressional Quarterly. His only major differences with Republicans come on some tort reform issues. Terry is a former trial lawyer and often sides with his old profession, which is politically associated with Democrats.
Nonetheless, Terry has not moved up as quickly on the committee as he would have liked. He has not won a seat he has long sought on the energy subcommittee.
He speculates that there is an anti-ethanol bias on the panel but says he has been promised the next opening. On ethanol, as on other agriculture-related matters, Terry views himself as a congressman for Nebraska, not just the 2nd District.
He has sponsored legislation to ensure Nebraska and several other states get more federal funds to subsidize rural phone service, and he has lent his backing to several efforts to provide relief to drought-stricken farmers in Nebraska's highly rural 3rd District.
Gov. Mike Johanns, a Republican, praised him for helping the state. "He has very, very few farmer-rancher constituents in his congressional district, yet he's been great in that area," Johanns said.
Terry said one of his priorities is protecting Nebraska jobs. With a few exceptions, he has voted for bills benefiting local industries, even if his decision was not always popular with other constituents.
A year ago, Terry was one of only eight House members to vote against creating the national "do-not-call" registry to limit telemarketers, many of which have operations in Omaha. He said the proposal was not in the best interests of the district.
A number of local constituents disagreed and called the congressman's office. Terry took some of the toughest calls himself. One asked how far Terry's focus on jobs would extend. He asked if Terry would, for instance, vote to help strip clubs if it prevented strippers from losing their jobs.
"You know what? If I represented Las Vegas, I may," Terry said he responded.

President Bush is coming to CB
COUNCIL BLUFFS - It appears that Council Bluffs, so far ignored as the presidential candidates have blitzed Iowa this fall, is scheduled to get its first campaign visitor - President Bush.
President Bush
The president currently is scheduled to drop into the metro area for a Council Bluffs rally on Monday, eight days before Election Day, Republican sources speaking on condition of anonymity said Wednesday.
Details of the event were still pending, but it is scheduled for the afternoon, the sources said.
"It's as close to being definite as you ever get out of the White House this far in advance," said one GOP source.
Iowa and Nebraska GOP officials would not confirm the president's plan. Bush campaign officials in Iowa said they do not confirm campaign visits until the president's schedule is released by the White House.
If the event is handled like Bush's many previous campaign visits to Iowa, anyone attending would need a ticket.

Group plans to monitor U.S. election
Isn't this a crock of dung! Who do they think they are? There is a method to the left's madness though. They intend to use these groups to help them file lawsuits to help contest a close election or even a close battleground state. If the international "community", which is supporting Kerry, claim our election is invalid this will weaken our position internationally and make President Bush's job more difficult when he wins. We need to remember the left and Europe prefer a weak United States and this is why they support Kerry. France, England, Spain and the rest all have their own national agendas, while nations are not people they work like people. They seek their own advantage. A weak United States would make it easier for Europe to enforce their will upon us. The question then becomes what do they want. They want the global warming treaty. This would have a drastic effect on economy, most likely resulting in job loss and recession. They want an international tax: this would transfer money from "rich" countries to poor countries, what this really means from the United States to everyone else. France doesn't like outsourcing either, mostly because the French outsouce to the United States and other Eastern European nations. French companies have to do this because of the regulations and taxes make it impossible for the companies to stay in business. The French consider low taxes and less restrictions on business unfair business practices and want it banned. Low taxes are unfair. This is laughable, except John Kerry and his supporters agree.
WASHINGTON - An international group that specializes in evaluating elections in former dictatorships plans to scrutinize presidential balloting in the United States for the first time.
The group, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which is based in Poland and supported by the United States, has begun deploying 160 people across the country.
The international monitoring comes after the highly disputed 2000 presidential election.
As a member of the organization, the United States has routinely invited it to monitor U.S. elections. But this time the group has accepted the invitation.
That decision has not proved entirely welcome, though.
"You are seeing a step toward subordination of the American political and legal system into a global government," said Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Fla. "I hope those people just get on the next plane out of the United States to go monitor an election somewhere else, like Afghanistan."
Christian Strohal, director of the organization's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, said no insult was intended. "We do not come with an attitude to find fault, but we do try to know what the problems are," he said.
He added: "We look at the United States as a country that has undergone a substantial amount of election reform in the last few years. We want to see the progress, and I do think all democracies can learn from each other."
Congress passed the Help America Vote Act in 2002 to address some of those problems, but the observer group expressed serious concern that disputes would arise again in hard-fought races for Florida and Ohio, as well as with newly introduced electronic voting machines that leave no paper trail.
The monitors - none of whom can be U.S. citizens - are drawn from more than 20 of the institution's 55 member states and include 100 foreign ministry officials, as well as members of parliaments from several countries.
In recent months, the organization has monitored elections in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, Macedonia and Bosnia.
The observers who are members of parliaments will be organized and led by Barbara Haering of Switzerland, who has visited the United States five times but never for more than three weeks.
Haering had never visited Bosnia and Herzegovina before monitoring a general election there in 1998 and does not consider a lack of local knowledge a hindrance.
"We learn about the local culture while monitoring and have advance teams looking out for the issues before we get there," Haering said. "In the United States, we can also find out much of what we need to know from the media and off of the Internet."
Monitoring of the American news media has already begun, Haering said. Monitors are warned to be wary of incumbents who confuse campaign events with issues of state and the ability of less well-financed candidates to get coverage.
The use of electronic voting will be of particular interest, Haering said.
"The use of new voting technologies is a challenge for all democracies," she said.

Bush, Kerry visit critical Iowa
I wonder why Nebraska is never visited like Iowa. In any case the President visited are Neighbors to the East the AP reported.
President Bush and Sen. John Kerry battled for Iowa's votes on Wednesday, campaigning less than 100 miles apart.
In Mason City, Bush said that he had inherited from the Clinton administration a stock market in decline, with the economy sliding into recession, and turned it around.
Meanwhile, Democratic challenger Kerry was speaking in Waterloo, 63 miles away. Kerry said Bush's go-it-alone stance in Iraq has made America weaker, not stronger, in the war on terrorism.
In Mason City, Bush told a crowd of about 4,000 people: "I pledged to reduce taxes. I kept my word." That made this recession one of the most shallow in American history, he said.
"The economy is growing as fast as it ever has. Home ownership is at an all-time high," Bush said.
"I love it when more and more people open the door and say welcome to my home. Welcome to my piece of property."
Bush said America needs to build an ownership society, a society in which people own their own homes and businesses.
He said his policies have added 1.9 million new jobs, and the unemployment is lower than in the 1970s, '80s and the '90s.
He said the jobless rate in Iowa is 4.5 percent and the economy is on the move.
"We're not going to go back to the days of tax and spend government," he said.
Bush's visit to Iowa was his 21st since becoming president.
Bush touched only briefly on the war, saying, "Freedom is on the march." He pointed to the recent election in Afghanistan and said a 19-year-old woman was the first to vote.
"People want to be free. That's what you've got to know," he said. "Free societies help us keep the peace. Free societies are hopeful societies. They no longer breed resentment."
In Waterloo, Kerry questioned Wednesday whether Bush is the exemplary leader he claims to be, pointing to the war in Iraq as evidence that he is not.
"This president likes to say he's a leader," Kerry said. "Mr. President, look behind you. There's no one there. It's not leadership if no one follows."
Kerry also promised to reverse mistakes he says Bush made in Iraq.
"If President Bush cannot recognize the problems in Iraq, he will not fix them. I do recognize them and I'll fix them," Kerry said. "All Americans are concerned about the outcome in Iraq. Now, they have a choice. More of the same failed policy. Or a fresh start."
Kerry said U.S. leaders must stop treating other countries with "contempt," driving them away from a role in Iraqi security and reconstruction. He also repeated charges that the president's conduct has made the United States weaker, not stronger, in the war on terrorism.
"America is fighting and must win two wars. The war in Iraq, and the war on terror," Kerry said. "Iraq was a profound diversion from that war and the battle against our greatest enemy, Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaida network. But now that we're fighting two wars, we must and we will prevail in both."
The Democrat took his security message to Iowa, one of a dwindling number of contested states that could sway the election. Kerry aide Mike McCurry said Kerry's call for new leadership in Iraq is one prong of their final argument to sway undecided voters who see Bush on the wrong track.
"They are more and more convinced that President Bush does not deserve to be re-elected, and they are trying to get to the point where they can see and embrace John Kerry as the next president," he said.
The speech came on the heels of fierce words from Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney about Kerry's fitness to make national security decisions.
Cheney on Tuesday raised the possibility of terrorists using nuclear weapons against U.S. cities and said Kerry hasn't made the case that he could handle such nightmarish scenarios.
"I don't believe it," the vice president said. "I don't think there's any evidence to support the proposition that he would, in fact, do it."
Bush, a day earlier, said the Massachusetts senator stands for "protest and defeatism" in Iraq and that Kerry would lead the nation toward "a major defeat in the war on terror."
Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, accused the Republicans of trying to scare the voters into re-electing the president. "While they campaign on fear, we're going to talk about the facts," he said.
Kerry planned to visit two other close states, Ohio and Pennsylvania, on Wednesday.
Former President Clinton will campaign for Kerry early next week in Philadelphia, a Democratic official said Tuesday. The Kerry campaign has been discussing appearances in other battleground states by Clinton, who is recovering from heart surgery.

Democrats are Losing the Women Vote on Abortion and Security
One of the most Divisive issues of the last three generations is abortion. The left would like people believe that if Roe V. Wade was overturned abortion would end the next day. This couldn't be further from the truth. If Roe V. Wade was overturned the right to regulate abortion would return to the states, where it belongs.
Democrats are Losing the Women Vote on Abortion and Security By Joseph Taranto. Posted 10/20/2004 2:53:00 PM
According to a new Survey USA poll, pro-life voters favor George W. Bush by 46 points, while pro-choice voters only favor Kerry by only 30 points.
The issue of abortion always causes divisions in America and Bush and Kerry virtually on opposite sides of the spectrum.
The poll provides data from 28 key states, including nearly all the battleground states. For example, in Arizona Bush leads Kerry among pro-life voters by 50 points. Kerry only leads Bush among pro-choice voters by 14.
In Nevada, Bush leads among pro-life voters by 54 points, while only trailing Kerry by 15 points among pro-choice voters.
The results indicate that a strong turnout among pro-life voters in these and other swing states could shift the balance towards the President on election day.
The results also indicate that the traditional Democratic strategy of using a pro-choice stance to garner the women's vote is no longer working. Pro-life voters are more likely to decide their vote on the abortion issue than pro-choice voters are.
Of course, many younger, single women traditionally support Democratic candidates, as many favor reproductive rights and other liberal ideas.
But in the past few weeks, American mothers have become a main focus of the election. These married women, who are sometimes called “soccer moms,” are traditionally concerned about issues which affect their children such as education, jobs, and health care.
Recently, this demographic has been targeted in order to try to add another concern to that list: national security. The chance of further terrorist attacks is naturally a major concern for these women, as they would certainly impact the lives of their children.
These newly-branded “security moms” have been polling higher for Bush, who most feel is stronger than Kerry in keeping the nation safe.
These developments do not bode well for Kerry.

What a dolt! I can't believe President Carter opened up his mouth and this came out. Again I say What A dolt. Please go back to building houses.

MATTHEWS: Let me ask you the question about—this is going to cause some trouble with people—but as an historian now and studying the Revolutionary War as it was fought out in the South in those last years of the War, insurgency against a powerful British force, do you see any parallels between the fighting that we did on our side and the fighting that is going on in Iraq today?
CARTER: Well, one parallel is that the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we‘ve fought. I think another parallel is that in some ways the Revolutionary War could have been avoided. It was an unnecessary war.
Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial‘s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way.
I think in many ways the British were very misled in going to war against America and in trying to enforce their will on people who were quite different from them at the time.

Usama bin Laden is Dead
This guy put it quiet elegantly but I have had my doubts since Tora Bora. I think he is dead, I think he was flash fried as he tried to escape and all that was left were chard remains. Read and enjoy.

You hadn't heard? Well, I'm not breaking news, President Bush knows damn well that UBL has been dead for quite some time. But why would Bush keep it to himself? If he were to disclose his knowledge that UBL is dead he would blow John Kerry's doors off in the election, and yet he remains silent. Why?
Maybe you're wondering how I know he's dead. Perhaps one of my SEAL buddies let me in on the secret? NO. I know because a publicity whore and grandstanding scumbag like UBL could not possibly resist the multitude of opportunites to inspire his cult members. His number 1, Zwahiri, has appeared on video or audio broadcasts every few months since 9/11. UBL has not been heard from since Tora Bora despite developments in the GWOT in Afghanistan and Iraq that make it unthinkable for him to have remained silent. Not to mention successful attacks in Bali, Madrid, Turkey, and Jakarta to name a few that remain unremarked upon by UBL. The invasion and occupation of an Islamic state by the US and not a word. Elections held for the first time in Afghan history, and he had nothing to say about it in the lead up. AQ tried once early on to air a tape that never mentioned key developments in the Afghan campaign and was quickly discredited as an attempt to put one over on his followers by airing a previous recording. Zwahiri decided that it was better to just pretend that UBL was alive because there was no plausible martyr story to tell. UBL went out running for his life like a coward. He is dead. His remains are turds shat by scavenging animals in the mountains of Afghanistan blown by the wind and stomped on by US troops.
By why not make it public? After all, this is the one thing that could ensure the President's re-election. Have you noticed how coy DOD officials and high ranking officers are when the question is posed? They know. They certainly have intelligence to this effect. Of course, the President could have instructed subordinates to start saying that intel indicates UBL is dead. This would have put pressure on him to prove otherwise by issuing a statement which he is clearly unable to make. This process could have started 6 months ago, and if UBL did not answer, it would in effect prove the case. But it didn't happen. Why not?
Because the President knows that making UBL a martyr would serve to further inspire his minions, and he realizes that preventing this from happening is more important than his re-election. Instead, UBL remains forever silent even as his recruits yearn to hear his voice. Eventually these cultists will realize themselves that UBL went out like a punk, not a martyr and that the AQ head shed has been lying to them for years. That realization combined with US combat boots knocking their teeth down their throats will go a long way to beating this cult into submission. But it is important to recognize that the President's committment to killing terrorists supercedes his committment to his own re-election. I'm sure he hopes that the American people will come to this conclusion on their own and vote for him anyway, but it is quite a risk to take in the ultimate ME situation.
This kind of integrity and committment stands in stark contrast to his opponent. Kerry has proved to be a Blue Falcon, a traitor, a louse, a shameless opportunist, and an lazy bureaucrat that pads his resume. Kerry is a smart guy too, and he realizes what is going on. But it hasn't stopped him from trying to bait the President into abandoning a critical propaganda victory in the GWOT by incessantly peddling his Tora Bora "outsourcing" charge in all three debates. He knows that the President will not respond to this charge so he is free to make it. Just like the Cheney lesbian scheme, this is a coordinated hatchet job, but this is on an issue that Kerry knows the President must choose to either defend the SOF troops that got the job done or remain silent. To his personal credit he never took the bait, but to his professional detriment he must let an unanswered charge linger. Do you have that kind of discipline? Especially in crunchtime? I don't know if I do, and I'll be happy to never have to find out.
President Bush, meanwhile, has just continued to keep the pressure on the terrorists, get us out of a recession, protect the homeland, and generally put the country's interests ahead of his own. He deserves your vote.

Terrorists know who they want
Another example of who the terrorists want to win. If this isn't evidence enough for people to know Kerry isn't qualified to be president I don't know what would convince them. This is the second article I've posted concerning different terrorist leaders who desire Kerry over Bush. Why do you think this is? Bush is an enemy of all terrorists and they know this.
ARAFAT BACKS KERRY, ISAELIS FAVOR BUSH!
(CNSNews.com) - Relying on the traditional support of Jewish voters, the Kerry-Edwards campaign may not welcome news from the Middle East on how the parties to the Arab-Israeli conflict view the election.
Yasser Arafat''s Palestinian Authority on Monday gave its first public indication of which candidate it would like to see in the White House next year.
"If [President] Bush wins, he said he would renew efforts to resume the peace process," PA foreign minister Nabil Shaath told the BBC in London. "However, with the staff that surrounds him and with his current opinions, it doesn''t look promising."
Under a Kerry administration, however, "it would be likely that several staff members during Clinton''s administration would return," Shaath said. "That would be a good thing, but it could take at least a year before a policy is formulated."
Elaborating on the PA''s unhappiness with the incumbent, the Palestine Media Center - an official PA institution - said Palestinians held the Bush administration responsible for Israel''s isolation of Arafat since the end of 2001.
"Bush''s refusal to deal with Arafat was interpreted by Palestinians as another "green light'' for Israel to impose and to maintain the siege on Arafat," it said.
The comments add substance to an assessment last July by Israel''s military intelligence chief, Major-General Aharon Ze''evi, who was quoted as telling the cabinet: "Arafat is now waiting for the month of November in the hope that President Bush will be defeated in the presidential election and turned out of his office."
The PA view on the election contrasts sharply with that of Israeli leaders, who have echoed the words spoken by former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Washington in 2002: "There has never been a greater friend of Israel in the White House than President George W. Bush."
Last week, in a coordinated survey of opinions in 10 key countries in Europe, Asia and North America, Israel was one of only two countries - the other was Russia - where poll respondents favored Bush over Kerry (by 50 percentage points to 24).
Other polls in Israel have indicated that a majority of Israelis are grateful to Bush for going to war against Iraq and toppling Saddam Hussein, a sworn enemy of the Jewish state.
"Force of habit''
Jewish organizations in the U.S. say Jewish voters base their choice largely on domestic issues - and most are liberals.
Writing in the Boston Globe last month, columnist Jeff Jacoby attributed Jewish loyalty to the Democratic ticket to historical factors.
"In the 19th and early 20th centuries, waves of Jewish immigrants from Europe, where the most anti-Semitic elements of society were often the most conservative, brought with them an intense aversion to right-wing politics - and an appreciation for the left, which they associated with emancipation and equality."
Jacoby argued that the U.S. in 2004 was a very different country, and said "American Jews owe it to themselves to base their political loyalty on something stronger than force of habit."
Israel is a very important factor for American Jews.
In its annual opinion survey, published last month, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) found that 75 percent of Jewish respondents felt "very close" or "fairly close" to Israel.
Seventy-four percent agreed that "caring about Israel is a very important part of my being a Jew."
Respondents in the AJC survey backed Kerry over Bush by 69 points to 24.
That support for the Democrats constitutes a drop-off from the last three elections. President Clinton won 80 percent of the Jewish vote in 1992 and 78 percent in 1996. In 2000, Al Gore won 79 percent of the Jewish vote while Bush only garnered 19 percent.
The Republican Jewish Coalition has been drawing attention to some other recent endorsements of Kerr, which it says Jewish voters should be worried about - those of the Arab-American PAC and the Muslim-American PAC.
"Clearly these groups do not support President Bush because of his unwavering support for Israel and his relentless war against Islamic terrorists," RJC executive director Matthew Brooks said in a statement Monday.
"The endorsements of John Kerry by these two anti-Israel groups speaks volumes and should serve as a warning to Jewish Americans who think John Kerry is on their side."
Brooks noted that Kerry called Arafat a "statesman" in his 1997 book, The New War.("Terrorist organizations with specific political agendas may be encourage by Yasser Arafat's transformation from outlaw to statesman," Kerry wrote.)
Bush has pointedly refused to invite Arafat to the White House during the past four years, a far cry from the days of the last Democratic administration, at the end of which Time magazine reported that "President Clinton has held more tete-a-tetes with the Palestinian leader than any other world leader during his eight years in office."
On its website, the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) presents what is says are the candidates'' records on Israel.
On Arafat, it notes that Kerry said last March that the PA chairman had "proved himself to be irrelevant," but it makes no reference to the 1997 assessment of Arafat as a statesman.
As for Bush, the NJDC noted that Bush in 2002 was quoted as saying he would not label Arafat a terrorist because he "has agreed to a peace process." The council made no reference to the fact Bush made Arafat persona non grata at the White House.
On Israel''s security fence, the NJDC highlighted the Bush administration''s concerns about the route of the barrier rather than its support for Israel''s right to build it.
It also ignored that fact that the administration opposed the right of the International Court of Justice to rule on the matter.
On the other hand, it cited comments by Kerry in February and April 2004 showing that he "strongly supported Israel''s right to build" the barrier.
The NJDC made no mention of another Kerry quote on the fence, last October, when he told an Arab American audience the fence was "provocative," "counterproductive" and a "barrier to peace."

Muslims know who to vote for
Mahathir Mohamad's Open Letter to American Muslims: Vote Kerry
Mahathir, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, thinks Jews secretly run the world, and that the United States should not interfere in the affairs of other countries. But that doesn't stop him from trying to interfere in the affairs of the United States. From IslamiCity, with thanks to L:
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In the past four years, during the Presidency of George W. Bush, the Muslims and their countries have suffered oppression and humiliation as never before in the history of Islam. There is an obvious connection between the sufferings of the Muslims and the policies and thinking of Bush.
We cannot expect much change to the policies of the United States of America towards Islam and the Muslims under Democrats as under Republicans. But we have a duty to ensure that Bush will not be able to determine our fate for four more years....
Dear Brothers and Sisters. Vote Bush out of office. It is truly an ibadah that you perform.
DR MAHATHIR BIN MOHAMADFormer Prime Minister of Malaysia,Malaysia
It's a shame that he resorts to this sort of thing instead of confronting the violence and radicalism within the Islamic community--as if all that Bush has done is unprovoked.
Another reason to send our Muslim "friends" packing.

Putin Tells the World Something Everyone Knows
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that terrorists are aiming to derail President Bush's chances at re-election through their attacks in Iraq
Putin noted that his government continued to disagree with Bush on Washington's invasion of Iraq, which Russia strongly opposed as a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council.
"I consider the activities of terrorists in Iraq are not as much aimed at coalition forces but more personally against President Bush," Putin said at a news conference after a regional summit in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.
"International terrorism has as its goal to prevent the election of President Bush to a second term," he said. "If they achieve that goal, then that will give international terrorism a new impulse and extra power."
Still, Putin didn't say which candidate he favored in the Nov. 2 election. "We unconditionally respect any choice of the American people," he said.
Putin please tell us something we don’t know! If your country had supported us we could have worked together to stop these madmen, oh wait I forgot your country has billions of dollars in oil contracts with the former Saddam Regime, I wonder just how much can we trust you.

The Peace Islam Promise
Islamic peace at its best, Islam guarantees peace with death. If you aren’t breathing you can’t voice your opinion, and if you can’t voice your opinion you must support the ruling Mullahs or you would have voiced your opinion. Appartantly it works in Iran and other Muslim countries. Where are protests from the liberals about this girl? Where are the protests from our government? I suppose it really doesn’t matter, even if we intervened the left would crucify Bush politically... They would tell s it’s not any of our business, and leave it to the UN, which has done nothing to curb Iranian aggression (against its own people) in the last 20 years. Why am I surprised? Earlier I wrote about a 16 -year girl hanged in Iran for having sex, today I am writing about a 13-year old girl being stoned to death (they throw rocks at you till you die) for being raped by her 15-year old brother and becoming pregnet. When will the leftist intelligentsia in this country wake up and understand they are not safe. If Islam spreads it will use them and execute them as soon as its convientant. Does anyone believe the young girl in question deserves this. Well its Islamic law.
THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC ABOUT TO STONING A 13 YEARS-OLD GIRL

Islamic Republic of Iran about to put to death by stoning a 13 years-old girl
PARIS, 16 Oct. (IPS) Almost two months after having hanged a 16 years-old girl, the ruling Iranian ayatollahs are to commit another human crime by condemning another young girl to stoning.
According to Iranian and foreign press, Zhila Izadi, a 13 years old girl from the north-western city of Marivan had been condemned to death by stoning after being found that she had been pregnant from her 15 years-old brother.
Zhila Izadi, a 13 years old girl from the north-western city of Marivan had been condemned to death by stoning after being found that she had been pregnant from her 15 years-old brother. The independent Iranian online newspaper “Peyke Iran” (www.peykeiran.com) that had first revealed the news last week reported on Saturday 16 October 2004 that the girl has given birth two weeks ago in prison.
While Zhila as been sentenced to stoning, her brother, jailed in Tehran, is to receive only 150 lashes, in accordance with Islamic laws.
Mrs. Shirin Ebadi, the Iranian outspoken lawyer and human rights activists who became the first Iranian and Muslim female to win the prestigious Nobel Peace Award for 2003 disclosed the news about the case of Zhila Izadi during her recent tour of Scandinavian countries.
The circumstances under which Zhila became pregnant from her brother is still not known, but independent Iranian sources outside the country said it was the father, a devout Muslim, who informed the authorities about the “disgrace” the young girl had caused the family.
Human rights activists in Denmark said though Zhila’s sentence had not been confirmed yet, but the fear is that, with the family’s approval, she faces the same faith as that of Ms. Ateqeh Rajabi, the 16 years-old girl hanged in public by the judge, a cleric, who condemned her on charges of prostitution.
“A court in Marivan has condemned Zhila to death by stoning and the family, which is very fundamental, has agreed”, confirmed Ms. Nahid Riazi of a Copenhagen-based human rights group that fights to the rights of women, adding that the young girl had been separated from her new born baby after the birth.
Ms. Rajabi was publicly hanged on a street in the city centre of Neka in the northern province of Mazandaran, on 15 August, for "acts incompatible with chastity".
Ms. Ateqeh Rajabi was publicly hanged on a street in the city centre of Neka on 15 August, for "acts incompatible with chastity". Faced with domestic and international outcry of dismay, the authorities said the young girl was “mentally incompetent”.
However, informed sources revealed that Ms. Ateqeh was sentenced to death after, during the "trial", she expressed outrage at the misogyny and injustice in the Islamic Republic and its Islam-based judicial system.
“The lower court judge was so incensed by her protestations that he personally put the noose around her neck after his decision had been upheld by the Supreme Court”, the sources reported.
The execution of Ateqeh Rajabi was the tenth execution of a child offender in Islamic Republic recorded by Amnesty International since 1990.
Amnesty International is alarmed that this execution was carried out despite reports that Ateqeh Rajabi was not believed to be mentally competent, and that she reportedly did not have access to a lawyer at any stage.
As a party to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Iran is bound not to execute child offenders. Both treaties provide that capital punishment shall not be imposed for offences committed by persons under 18 year of age at the time of committing the offence.
Though it is possible that the Iranian authorities reject the stoning sentence, but it remains that the accused could very probably be condemned to death, human rights sources said, calling on the international community to put pressure on Iranian authorities to save Zhila from death. The news of Zhila's possible stoning come at a time that the ruling conservatives have increased dramatically crackdown on the very limited social liberties, including more drastic measures on women accused of not respecting islamic codes of dressing and arresting more journalists and intellectuals

Omaha's Head Start finished last
It looks like the federally funded agency program known as head start is belly up. 6.5 million dollars is gone. Now the Omaha Public Schools wants to take over the program and of course the money.
Education in the US is one of the biggest cash cows in history. In exchange for billions, almost trillions of dollars, the American people get (drum roll), sex education, Politically Correct (if not factually) history, and the ability to do math at the lowest levels in the free world. In new York, despite efforts of their own Head Start Program, black Americans living in the poorest parts of the city have a drop out rate of over 50%, over 50%. Not just in New York but other large cities as well. This dispite the fact that billions and trillions of dollars (over time) have been spent.
How much longer can this farce continue? Probably indefinitely if the education unions have any say, and they do. Each year the unions spend millions of dollars lobbying democrat's to block any effort at reform, especially reform that would hold teachers accountable for their inability to teach.
If Omaha's leaders understood this they would reject Omaha Public Schools attempt to add to their budget and reject federal funding for head start. Instead the money should go to a vouchers program so children parents everywhere can send their children to decent schools, whether public or private that meet their needs. You can bet the Omaha public school system will fight that.

Hillary Care gone wild
Now who's fooling who? I believe the crisis with the flue vaccines (if it can really be called that), has more to do with Hillary Care then anything President Bush, or Kerry have done. The single thing we got from Hillary care back in 93/4 was reduced cost flue vaccines for everyone. Ever since then we have had a problem with supply. Never use to be a problem, the US used to have an adequate supply of vaccine, now we have to import it from two countries Britain and France. There the only companies willing to create the vaccine for the amount of money the American Government is willing to pay, and they are willing to chance the law suits if something goes wrong. Kind of makes you wonder just what the doctors are putting into our collective veins doesn't it. If you want an example of a single payer health care system (not that the VA isn't already a good example) take a look at the flue vaccine problem. The government guarantees a vaccine and now nobody can get one. The doctors ration it to the ones who they say need it most, before 1993 anyone could get it if they wanted. Makes you think or it should.

Senator Hagel to Speak in Omaha
10-15-2004 5:08 AM (Omaha, NE) -- Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel will speak at the Omaha Chamber of Commerce today. The event is by invitation only. The Senator is expected to address the issues of political trade and its effects on the business communities at this morning's event.
He ought to be considering his comments are being used by the Left to attack President Bush in a time of war. Senator Hagel continues to say he supports President Bush, but when he and McCain get together is a Bush slap down. I am tired of it. I recently emailed him and he responded (his office is very good at this) with a letter and a copy of his column in the Omaha World-Herald. In the column he writes that he supports the president but reserves the right to challenge him. Unfortunately his challenges do more harm then good, and he fails to use the good sense most republicans have to keep their disagreements quiet until after the election. He also said he was worried that if he didn't speak up now Iraq would become another Vietnam. I am sorry he feels that way but this simply isn't the case and is a lousy excuse to stab President Bush in the back. Vietnam was a war the U.S. was winning prior to John Kerry returning and telling his sort tales about out the U.S. Military. These tales were untrue, but they served to undermine the U.S. Effort. We abandoned Vietnam at the cost of 1 million Vietnamese lives and the enslavement of the survivors. After the Tet offense which CBS's Cronkite portrayed as a loss, but the North Vietnamese knew they lost, thought the war was about over. This was the North's big push and it had failed, but you wouldn't have known this by the way the U.S media portrayed the war. Sound similar Senator Hagel, it ought to, it’s the same way the media is portraying the war in Iraq. If you don't want another loss on your hands maybe its time you stopped worrying about the insurgents and focused on our servicemen and the good of the country.

Danniel Henniger gets it wrong
DANIEL HENNINGER of the Wall Street Journal writes;
"The Kerry campaign is riding on the belief that the American electorate, at the margins in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, isn't ready to make the break. And they may be right. That to me is the meaning of the relentlessly close poll results that persist in this election. John Kerry is a fundamentally weak presidential candidate, but about half the electorate is uncertain whether it is able to sign up for all the risk and uncertainty implicit in the next Bush presidency. " for complete article http://www.opinionjournal.com/columnists/dhenninger/?id=110005763
It could be that, or it could be the partisan media and its attempt to shore up support for Kerry in everyway possible. We have Michael Moore representing the so called intellectual left in Hollywood, we have Dan Rather and his cohorts in the press making up stories to fit there agenda-which is to help elect Kerry, we have wannabe activists sing songs to get the younger voters to vote for Kerry. I think it was someone at CBS (I could be wrong on which propaganda group) said the Press would add 15 points to Kerry's poll numbers. I think he's right. The column goes on to admit Kerry is a nothing candidate and shouldn't be as close as he is, that part is true. The part the writer gets wrong is the reason.

The Danger of the Left
I don't want to sound like a nut, maybe this is nutty and it would certainly be destructive but a civil war may be in the making. If we as Americans are unwilling to abide by the election process then it seems it will be inevitable that we start resolving our differences with violence. I would like to point out here it is the left in this country that resorts to violence. Some of the things they have done in the recent past includes: bombing car lots with SUVs being sold on them, they spike trees and destroy private property because they are opposed to a company legal activity. The unions have attacked several of Bush's local headquarters. They riot in the street if they don't like a candidates stance on issues. They sidestep the legislative process when it doesn't go their way, by suing in court. If you examine what the left has accomplished over the years the vast majority has been done through court action, not through the people's legislative bodies.Violence has always been the way of the left. Some where along the way the left decided it knew better, and if they can't convice us through democratic means, they will do so through violent means; sans Russia, China, Cuba, Eastern Europe, Vietnam, North Korea, and Cambodia. Millions sacrificed on the alter of liberalism and yet they still preach. Who will save America if we fall, the UN, they would support such a take over, they would side with the insurgents. The left is dangerous because they always resort to violence, they know better then the "common" man and if we won't bow they will attempt to break us.
The Monster that is Saddam
The monster that is Saddam
Another example of why Saddam was in need of removal. I don’t understand why the left has such a problem with the invasion and liberation Iraq, those that say we are occupiers need to read the story below and then tell me the war in Iraq was the wrong one. I do agree with the liberals on one point though, it was done at the wrong time….It should have been done earlier. When I think of the children being separated from their parents and then shot in the back of the head while still holding toys, how can I not think of my own? I can see them clutching the toys so tightly as confusion and fear washed over them and then… I’ll leave it to the reader to finish this disgusting thought. I think we waited to long.
A mass grave being excavated in a north Iraqi village has yielded evidence that Iraqi forces executed women and children under Saddam Hussein.
US-led investigators have located nine trenches in Hatra containing hundreds of bodies believed to be Kurds killed during the repression of the 1980s.
The skeletons of unborn babies and toddlers clutching toys are being unearthed, the investigators said.
They are seeking evidence to try Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity.
It is believed to be the first time investigators working for the Iraqi Special Tribunal (IST) have conducted a full scientific exhumation of a mass grave.
"It is my personal opinion that this is a killing field," Greg Kehoe, an American working with the IST, told reporters in Hatra, south of the city of Mosul.
"Someone used this field on significant occasions over time to take bodies up there, and to take people up there and execute them."
Tiny bones
The victims are believed to be Kurds killed in 1987-88, their bodies bulldozed into the graves after being summarily shot dead.
One trench contains only women and children while another contains only men.
The body of one woman was found still clutching a baby. The infant had been shot in the back of the head and the woman in the face.
"The youngest fetus we have was 18 to 20 fetal weeks," said US investigating anthropologist P Willey.
"Tiny bones, femurs - thighbones the size of a matchstick."
Mr Kehoe investigated mass graves in the Balkans for five years but those burials mainly involved men of fighting age and the Iraqi finds were quite different, he said.
"I've been doing grave sites for a long time, but I've never seen anything like this, women and children executed for no apparent reason," he said.
Long search
Mr Kehoe said that work to uncover graves around Iraq, where about 300,000 people are thought to have been killed during Saddam Hussein's regime, was slow as experienced European investigators were not taking part.
The Europeans, he said, were staying away as the evidence might be used eventually to put Saddam Hussein to death.
"We're trying to meet international standards that have been accepted by courts throughout the world," he added.
"We're putting a package together on each body removed - pictures of bones, clothes, a forensic report."
Iraq's human rights ministry has reportedly identified 40 possible mass graves across the country.
The dig at Hatra, where a makeshift morgue has been erected, is due to be completed on Wednesday.

What's going on with our Borders
Securing our borders should be a priority for the President. He is more interested maintaining a friendship with Vincent Fox and the corrupt Mexican government. It’s time to put troops in the area.
U.S. security officials are investigating a recent intelligence report that a group of 25 Chechen terrorists illegally entered the United States from Mexico in July. The Chechen group is suspected of having links to Islamist terrorists seeking to separate the southern enclave of Chechnya from Russia, according to officials familiar with intelligence reports. Members of the group, said to be wearing backpacks, secretly traveled to northern Mexico and crossed into a mountainous part of Arizona that is difficult for U.S. border security agents to monitor, said officials speaking on the condition of anonymity. The intelligence report was supplied to the U.S. government in late August or early September and was based on information from an intelligence source that has been proved reliable in other instances, one official said. A second U.S. official said the report is being investigated, but said it could not be determined whether the group of Chechens actually entered the country, as the intelligence source reported. "We don't know whether or not that report is true," this official said. A spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed that the intelligence report was provided by another government agency, but said Border Patrol agents were unable to verify its accuracy. It could not be learned whether the reported infiltration is related to the recent Education Department warning to school officials to examine security in the aftermath of the attack last month by pro-Chechnya Muslim terrorists on a school in Russia, in which more than 300 people were killed and some 700 wounded. In the Russian attack, heavily armed Islamists took over and wired with explosives the school building in Beslan, North Ossetia. It is believed that an accidental explosion set off a battle between Russian security personnel and the terrorists, who set off several explosions and shot schoolchildren and teachers as they tried to escape. U.S. officials believe the Beslan terrorists included some al Qaeda-linked foreign terrorists. The Education Department letter said that school officials should examine "protective measure guidance" for helping to prevent and respond to a similar terrorist attack, were it to occur in the United States. The notice said the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are "currently unaware of any specific, credible information indicating a terrorist threat to public and private schools, universities or colleges in the United States." The letter stated that indicators of terrorist surveillance before an attack include interest in site plans for schools, bus routes and attendance lists from persons who don't normally request such information. Authorities also were advised to remain alert for "static surveillance" by people who may be disguised as panhandlers, shoeshiners, newspaper or flower vendors, or street sweepers who seem out of place in a particular area. Other indicators of terrorist surveillance can include spying on school security drills, people staring at employees or vehicles in parking areas, and surveillance by pedestrians. Fears of an attack on American schools also were raised by the recent discovery in Iraq of a computer disk containing data showing the layout of six schools in the United States, including districts in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey and Oregon. Officials believed the disk may have been part of a terrorist plot. However, FBI officials said on Friday that there did not appear to be a terrorist threat connected to the computer disk. The Iraqi who had the disk, a member of Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party, apparently was collecting information from the Internet sites of American schools that would be useful for emergency planning for Iraqi schools, U.S. officials said. U.S. security officials have been concerned in recent months that al Qaeda or other terrorists are planning to enter the United States from Mexico. Intelligence officials said a suspected al Qaeda leader who has been in the United States was spotted recently in Mexico. Officials believe Adnan Shukrijumah, whom the FBI wants for questioning, met with alien smugglers in Mexico and Honduras and was seeking ways to bring al Qaeda members into the United States. Shukrijumah was seen in August in the Sonora province of northern Mexico, officials said. Since October 2003, authorities have arrested five Arabs attempting to cross illegally into the United States from Mexico. In July, officials dismissed as untrue an Internet report that said a group of Middle Eastern men were recently caught trying to cross the border from Mexico. The report apparently was based on a group of Oaxacan tribesmen who were stopped as they tried to cross the border in Arizona. The tribesmen spoke an Indian language native to southern Mexico that may have been mistaken for Arabic, officials said at the time.
