A debate

Posted below is a debate I had with a co-worker. It's an excellent opportunity to understand how progresives think and approach a debate. Notice how quickly It is implied that I am a white supremist and a hater. This person is ostensivly my friend but I am a hater. Enjoy.

This is how I started it

Friend:
Lol. You know this just means that we’re going to get the Senate version of the health care bill don’t you?

Me:
Actually I hope we don’t try to impeach him Biden would be worse

Friend:
There’s nothing to impeach him for… unless you’re a birther – but I doubt that, they’re crazy white supremacists

Me:
There is the fact his domestic policy is destroying the economic viability of this country., and he’s clearly hates America but I guess that’s ok since he’s not a citizen anyway. :)

Friend:
had my reservations since he kept on W.’s Fed chairman and Geitner that it was going to be business as usual.
It saddens me that you affiliate with hate groups.

Me:
Yeah Geitner should go, but I think the entire fed should be removed. So no biggy for me.

Ill ignore your insult because you’re still stinging from the loss of Kennedys seat. :)

Friend:
There’s no insult. The birthers and most of the tea party movement affiliates itself with white supremacists’ groups. It’s a scary thing for this country.

Me:
I am sorry you think that.

Friend:
I think people can change after they’re in the grips of white supremacists fascism (such as Germany was). I used to think that the US learned from our mistakes after slavery and the civil rights movement, but now I think we’re being taken to a US version of Kristallnacht with the tea party movement. It used to scare me that the people who’ve identified with this movement did nothing but yell at me, belittle me, and bully me to make their point, but now I know that’s because they’ve been brainwashed. It’s only going to get worse before it gets better.

Me:
Nazi party was a socialist movement so it was left. Stalin took to calling the Nazi’s Right to identify them as the enemy. He had Trotsky assassinated on the premise that he was a on the Right. (no one can say Trotsky was right except Stalin) It’s stuck. Fact is progressivism, communism Fascism socialism all come from the same philosophical movement of the late 19th and early 20th century. Hitler praised FDR in letters to him and in magazines in the mid 30s. Benito Mussolini did the same thing. This is a matter of public record and cannot be denied. Both those thugs saw themselves in FDR because of FDRs policies. The eugenics movement has always been a part of the left in this country and around the world. The same group that strongly opposes abortion today strongly opposed eugenics then, can you think of that group. I can, The Catholics. All these things the Left ties to the right is a product of the lefts history. Conveniently ignored. I do not accept your premise.

Friend:
You’re not addressing that Hitler used white supremacy (and its ability to instill fear) to brow beat any opposition to the take over of the Weimar Republic. These same tactics are being used by the tea party movement. As far as fascism, and FDR – FDR barely escaped a coup d’état himself. But thanks to Marine Corp General Smedley, he was able to thwart a fascist take over in the US.

Me:
FDR was a fascist as Identified by Hitler and Mussolini and many others . He was the coup d’etat. Fascism has many faces, in Europe it was thuggery. In the US is will be a smothering smiling mom who won’t leave us alone.
Hitler’s brand of Fascism included hatred of Jews, not white supremacy. There is a difference between white supremacy and Aryan supremacy. The Aryan race does not include Italians or Slavs and both those races are white. Mussolini up until 1943 protected Jews so did the Spanish fascists. In fact prior to 1943 the Fascist party in Italy was made of Jews just like any other group in Italy. Fascism doesn’t need to include a racial component, as it didn’t in Italy or Spain. The key thing your missing is the left is the home of these types of tactics including the progressives of the US. Not the right. So while the left can accuse the Tea party of such tactics I know the accusation to be false on its face. It’s a common tactic of the left to accuse conservatives of the very tactics the left uses. With a compliant media its easy for them to get away with it. If the media did its job this wouldn’t be an issue. But the media has fallen in with the statists and can no longer be trusted to provide the truth.

Friend:
Every white supremacists I’ve encountered *hates* Jewish people as much as every other group… including liberals. Jewish Americans were quite helpful in the African American Civil Rights movement. You should really read up on Smedley.

Were you a big fan of Ariel Sharon?

Me:
Jewish people are helpful to every society they’re in. White supremacists may indeed hate Jews, but Hitler was not a white supremacist. The debate isn’t about white supremacy it is about how the left likes to tag conservatives as hate mongers and fascists while historically Fascists and hate have been phenomena of the Left. I have little knowledge of Sharon. I am aware of the Jewish help with the civil rights movement. Are you aware of the elements within that movement that hate Jews and blame them for all sorts of things?

Friend:
I believe you lose any argument where you state that Hitler was not a white supremacists. Hitler was the most abhorrent figure in recent history, and, he was a white supremacists, and a hate monger – like all white supremacists are.

Me:
He was Aryan Supremacist, he hated anyone who wasn’t Aryan, that included the Jews, the gypsies the Slavs. He killed 6 million Jews but he also killed another 6 million Slavs and gypsies and other non Aryan. These groups were white (mostly) and he killed them. That doesn’t make him a white supremacist he only cared for the Aryan people, if they were blue with pocadots he wouldn’t have cared as long as they where Aryan. Yes Hitler was an awful man, so was Stalin, so was Mao, Pol pot all these people have one thing in common. There of the left, not the right. The 20th centuries nightmares were spawned by the left. And the left seeks to plaster that on the conservatives.

Friend:
Hitler was a right-wing fascists white supremacists. He hated anyone he deemed as “other” to his white, Aryan race. All White Supremacists do this. It’s very helpful whenever white supremacists want to do a power grab. It’s a “oh you don’t agree with me? Then you’re mother was from Iowa. They’re all (insert expletive).”

Me:
Hitler wasn’t right wing, he was a socialist, that makes him left. Stalin accused his enemies of being right wing, That included Hitler and those within his own country, that’s how the label got started.

Hitler promised the Germans a list of things that our current crop of progressives are promising us, like health care, organic foods, an end to interest banking. No child labor, pensions of the elderly. 8 hour work days. Hitler was an ardent environmentalist as was most of the leadership of the Nazi party. Many were vegetarians. These things are what all socialist promise the people, In bids to get power. It’s a thing of the left. Hitler is the lefts man not the rights. His sins are the lefts sins.

Again the Aryan’s just happened to be white. The color was irrelevant; the important factor was they were Aryan.

Friend:
Hateful, right-wing, white supremacists Aryans in which businesses thrived under. So, you support child labor? If you want to have pesticides, growth hormones in your food, that’s you’re right to hold those beliefs. I think I’ll stick with my belief that such things are harmful.

Me:
Hate is a thing of the left division is a thing of the left. Identity politics is a thing of the left.

I only mention organic foods and child labor laws because its something the left pushes, it was something Hitler and the other fascists pushed among other things. I personally would let people decide for themselves if they think child labor and pesticides are bad. I wouldn’t force them; force is something the left does. I prefer choice.

Businesses that worked with Hitler thrived, they were supported with bail outs and special contacts, those businesses that refused to comply were taken over by the government, much as Obama is doing to GM and insurance and health care. Same as the Chinese. It’s about force. For some reason the left thinks big business is on the side of the free market. Big business especially in this country has been the impetus for regulation. Regulation doesn’t hurt the big guy, but is squashes the up and coming competition. The small guy who doesn’t have an army of lawyers and lobbyists he is hurt. When a large business can no longer compete, they go to the government for help, to make sure things are safe. Steel, sugar, meat packing all these heavily regulated business asked the government to intercede to prevent more efficient smaller businesses from succeeding. Progressives are always happy to expand there power over people so they complied.

Friend:
So you’re pro-choice? Identity politics is something the right does (i.e. I’m a Christian), until it doesn’t suit their needs (i.e. is it OK to send your eight-year-old to the coal mines to work? – it should be up to the parents to decide… lol).

The expansion of monopolistic practices have always flourished under right-wing governments. Anti-trust legislation is always a hard-won victory of the Left. But, it’s flattering that the Right wants to take credit for this.

Me:
You’re not really asking me if its ok to kill a child?

Identity politics was something created by the progressives in the late 19th and early 20th century. Is it ok to allow a family to starve or be forced from their home by preventing the able bodied from working. Who gets to choose if not the family? That’s the problem with progressives for some reason they think they know best and to hell with you if you don’t agree. This is why the progressive needs hate and Identity politics. People who don’t agree are the other guy he isn’t a part of the body politic. His opinion doesn’t count. He’s a hater, a racist, a sexist a homophobe. The term doesn’t matter its what the left does to alienate those who disagree. This is a phenomenon of the left not conservatives.

Anti trust legislation was pushed by large businesses under a progressive republican president. His name was Teddy Roosevelt. His nickname was the trustbuster. The mistake many democrats and republicans make is to think that the republicans are immune to progressive infection. The Republican Party was contaminated about the same time as the Democrats. So when we say left or right what we are really arguing is a fast march to statism or a slow march to statism. The only president since Roosevelt that was not a progressive is Reagan. All other presidents have been. The conservative movement within the republican party was begun in the late 40 and 50s by William Buckley. It is an attempt to return are country to what the founders envisioned. Free markets, minimal taxation and states rights and a limited government. One that cant force people to do things that aren’t in their best interest.

A monopoly can only exist with a Government backing; examples are the post office and public schools. Monopolies always exist under progressive forms of government. If the members of the left take the time to study history they will discover the term corporatism, FDRs brain trust were fond of using it. They wanted larger businesses because they are easier to control. In essence they wanted a monopoly so they could better control the means of production. The military industrial complex is FDRs gift to us

Friend:
You’re in favor of working an 8 year old to death?

There’s a great PBS series about the Medici. It’s an Italian family that enjoyed the type of government that you’re proposing – city-states. Teddy had to succumb to the power of the people who were tired of having their children worked to death.

All the ills of the world are the fault of little green men! You’re arguments always put all the ills of the world on people with progressive viewpoints. It makes no sense

Me:
Lol Not all the ills but most of economic ones since the early 20th century.

I am in favor of letting families take care of themselves in anyway they deem necessary, its no ones place to dictate to someone else what’s in their best interest.

Teddy didn’t succumb to anything he wanted to regulate; its what progressives do, they claim mandate from the people and run roughshod over traditional forms of government.

I am in favor of a constitutional republic that was established like the one we established in 18th century

Friend:
love this country as much as you do. And I agree that small businesses are better for the overall economy than large businesses. I think that the politicians that we have in there are too beholden to their large donors, and I suspect that the MA’s new Senator is already bought and paid for.

Still, I think that large centralized governments are good for some things – roads, inter-state commerce, and winning Olympic teams – if nothing else.

End of Debate

Notice how the Republican is already corrupt before ever stepping into office, before we even know if he's conservative or another progresive. The left can do no wrong it is why the have no need to rely on votes or laws or traditions. They know best. If you disagree your a hater and should be ignored at best, killed at worst.

Does she really love the country, if so why does she want to change it. Every other nation on this planet is a socialists dream, why change this one, why not move?

Notice how the bulk of her argument is trying to pin Hitler/hate to the conservative movement, see how they ignore the actual debate for mere slogans. Historical fact is on our side, bu the don't care.

Political season is upon us again and finding a candidate should be fairly easy, if you rely on the media that is. I noticed ( as I am sure you did ) almost immediately we were given a long list of potentials and told which ones where the "top tier." It seems they expect us to choose from the two or three in this tier of acceptable candidates and expected to ignore the others such as Duncan Hunter or Mike Huckabee. (of course after Iowa's straw poll the media might be forced to place Huckabee in the first tier.)

Instead we are told that John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are our choices. John McCain!! Can anyone figure out how he still rates tier one status. What the media is forgetting is the conservative wing of the Republican party. I am registered Republican because that is where the conservatives are, if we had our own party or were part of the democrats that’s where I’d be.

It seems with the media it is forever just Republican Vs Democrat, What are the choices for the conservative movement. Is Rudy or Romney really a part of our movement or are they paying lip service to our beliefs because we are a large part of the Republican Party?

I was/am a strong supporter of President Bush. He is a Republican but not a conservative. He supports the war against our islamic enemies, he has stood strong against abortion and its safe to say his tax policy has encouraged excellent economic growth. As a Republican he has not supported all conservative policy choices. His new tone has come back to bite him in the rear. He should have gotten rid of the Clinton holdovers and because he didn’t every decision he made was leaked to the New York Times in an effort to undermine his goals. He allowed Ted Kennedy to write the education policy. How much more money do they really need to teach our kids to read and write? I don’t even want to discuss the immigration policy President Bush has tried to shove down our throat. How many more murders do we need in our so called sanctuary cities before we decided it’s not a good thing to ignore illegals.

So where do the conservatives go? Who do we vote for? If we don’t get our best choice do we support the Republican nominee? I will. I remember 2006. We chose not to support Republicans and look what it got us. In the scheme of things a Republican is far better then a democrat.

a letter to Ben Nelson

Sir

The New York Times released information about how we track enemies of the United States through financial transactions. This information should have been kept secret. Moreover they received this information from government officials, people who took oaths to protect the country. This information should never have been given to the New York Times.

Providing and publishing this information is an act of treason. The publishers of the New York Times, the reporters involved in the story, and the Government officials that provided the information have betrayed this country...again. The right to free speech, which the New York Times is hiding behind, does not protect individuals from treason. I hope you will use your considerable influence to help the president do his duty and bring charges against the individuals involved in this horrid act.

Sir we are fighting an enemy that seeks to kill us, and people on your side of the isle do not take this task serious, For whatever reason, Liberal institutions and liberal government workers have taken it upon themselves to undermine the Presidents effort to protect the country. I understand if you do not support the president in this, but you and the liberals in this country had your chance in 2004 to change policy by electing a new president and a new congress. That chance will come again this year. In the mean time to work against the President in the manner done by the New York Times and those that provided the information is an act of treason and must be dealt with.

Can you imagine this happening in WW2, the civil war. This is intolerable, the quests for political power must end when the country is at war, and make no mistake, we are at war. Do we have to be fighting in our streets before you and those on the left believe it. Your side must come to the realization that this enemy is best fought over seas, I do not want my daughter growing up in country were walking to school or going to a movie is life threatening. Do you understand? If we must fight, fight there, Policies supported by those on the left will not protect my daughter. If you cannot do your duty, say so, step down and let someone else do what needs to be done.

I do not mean this personally, I do not doubt your loyalty, but if you had the name John McCain or John Kerry I would. I know you are an honorable man, but sometimes for the purposes of being united against a common foe, politics must take a back seat. Why do you think President Roosevelt was elected to four terms, certainly not for his failed economic policies? He knew how to fight our enemies and did so. He believed in American exceptionalism, do you? WE can win this thing, we are winning, but it can be over sooner if our enemies see a united front. If our allies know are united resolve. Please help the President by supporting any action he orders against those who committed this grievous offense.

Nebraska Greed, take a read:)

Its called amendment one on the ballot which we vote on may 9 they have proposed to give themselves a $9,000 raise with a 4% yearly increase. Remember this is work for 2-4 months only, Nebraska legislature is only in session for 2-4 months out of each year. Most Nebraskans only make $29,000 for an entire year of work, and all these legislatures have full time jobs, most if not all are well off, well above what Average Nebraskans make. No one made them serve, only their ambition guided them to accept this job.

Read some more facts I got from NE taxpayers for freedom, and pass this on
NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS FOR FREEDOM ISSUE PAPER:NO PAY RAISES FOR STATE SENATORS.
BACKGROUND. This session, the Legislature passed LR 12CA, a constitutional amendment that would raise state senator annual pay from $12,000 to $21,000, a 75% pay hike! Not many Nebraskans win such a pay hike in 1 year. Liberal State Sen. Chris Beutler, who wants to terminate term limits, believed that the original increase amount of $24,000 was insufficient. Sen. Ernie Chambers declared that a needed pay raise would improve the dignity and stature of the legislature, to which he never has contributed. Sen. Don Pederson stated that this pay hike would give respect to the office. He earned an NTF rating of 47.25% in the 2004 Legislature, hardly worthy of respect!
LR 12CA. This constitutional amendment would raise state senator salaries to $21,000 annually, with yearly pay hikes equal to the rise in the Consumer Price Index not exceeding 4%. Senators passed LR 12CA by a 44-0 vote, more than the 40 votes necessary to place it on the primary ballot. Because our state constitution sets pay, a constitutional amendment ratified by voters must pass. Supporters include the teachers union and liberal Common Cause.
TALKING POINTS.
Incumbents know the salary when they run for the office, and many run again.
State senators should not vote to set their own salaries in this citizen legislature.
State senators receive a per diem for expenses and mileage during sessions and payment for travel expenses when not in session. The average totaled $7,733 for food, housing like renting apartments in Lincoln, and travel expenses in 2004. Sen. Adrian Smith of Scottsbluff collected more in expenses than his salary in 2003, almost $13,840.
Liberal legislators complain that their service does not entitle them to health insurance or a pension. Most if not all senators have access to health insurance through their regular jobs, spousal employment, self-employment, or government care like Medicare. Part-time work does not merit a pension.
The average Nebraska yearly salary was $29,448 in 2002.1 Voters should not pay $21,000 for only several months work.
South Dakota pays its state legislators only $12,000 per 2-yr. term plus $110 per diem. Wyoming pays legislators $125 per legislative day plus $80 per diem expenses. Calculating for a Unicameral 90-day session, this salary totals $11,250 annually. Kansas pays its legislators $78.75 per session day plus $85 per diem. Calculating again for our longer 90-day session, this salary equals about $7,087.2
Proponents argue that low salary makes senators more vulnerable to manipulation by special interest groups. Examining the legislation passed since the last pay raise, it is easy to understand that senators still are beholden to these groups.
Proponents allege that Nebraskans “get what we pay for” with low legislative salaries, that we deserve and must attract a better quality of senator. They used this same argument during the last pay hike campaign in 1988. Since that time, we have gotten the same High Taxers and Big Spenders as before.
Proponents argue that low salaries will dissuade candidates from filing, yet the substantial number who already have filed for the 2006 races, a record number, demonstrates that candidates understand the current salary and per diems and wish to run regardless.
Nebraskans should encourage those motivated only by public service to run for legislature. We are supposed to have a citizen legislature, not one filled by career politicians.
Senators purposely placed the amendment on the primary ballot, knowing that fewer vote in primaries, thus increasing the opportunity for passage.
The CEO of the University of Nebraska Foundation and the chancellor of UN-Kearney lead the campaign to pass LR 12CA. Interesting that the university system is one of the leading causes of egregiously increased budget spending, and administrators continually whine for additional appropriations. This ploy seeks to ingratiate the university administrations with state senators.
CONCLUSION. We must fight senator pay hikes, until they offer us relief from spiraling taxes and spending. From 2004 to 2005, Nebraska rose from 14th to 8th highest taxed state in the nation.2 Since 1988, NE per capita personal income has risen by almost 100%.3 Yet, since FY 1988-89, total state appropriations have more than tripled. Nebraska in 2004 ranked next to the highest among all adjacent states in appropriations per $1,000 of personal income and per capita. If the legislature was a private business, it would have gone bankrupt long ago. Citizen legislators should offer public service, even at financial sacrifice, for only a few years and then return home to live under the same laws they themselves passed for others.
TAKE ACTION NOW. If this egregious pay raise passes at the May, 2006 polls, state senators will only have more incentive to continue taxing and spending like wastrels. To counter the propagandizing of voters by well-financed self-interested proponents, use the above talking points to do the following: 1) write editorials to your local newspaper; 2) call in to your local radio talk show; 3) show your friends and neighbors our 2005 NTF Legislative Voting Record. After they see how their senator and other state senators voted, they surely will vote NO on pay hikes.

Private/now public note to Senate Hagel

Sir

I heard that you think the administration should give some credence to 6 retired generals concerning their claim that Don Rumsfeld should retire. Maybe instead of heeding the press, you might inquire yourself and find out how many retired generals support Mr. Rumsfeld. The number will surprise you.

On side note.

Your constant pandering disgusts me. Your mentor over in AZ has decided to run for president, and is returning to his "conservative roots" in an effort to shore up the base. How is the media treating him now? They do not like you beyond the fact that you have an R by your name and lambaste the president and/or his actions. Please wake up.

end

How many Nebraskan are getting tired of our dear Senator Hagel. He opens his mouth and garbage seems to just fall out. Any other Nebraskan feel the same? Is this the type of "conservative" we voted for. Its time to replace Hagel, who has obviously decided the press and Washington lifestyle are more appealing to him then being true to his own beliefs, and the beliefs of those who placed him in office.

Elections in Iraq

I am of the mind should President Bush's plan to liberate the Arab countries from themselves fail and the those same Arab nations continue to press their war upon us; the US would be forced to use total war to eliminate the threat. Instead of saving cities and civilian lives, coalition forces, US forces by the time this occurred, would be forced to turn the middle Asian countries into heaps of rubble. Not a pleasant thought, but apparently one the political left is ignoring.

The elections in Iraq, the decent turnout, the fairness of the constitution, (it bends over backward to make sure the minorities have solid chance of protecting their interests) the apparent joy the Iraqi people demonstrated at the polls brought a good deal of hope to me. I've always believed in President Bush's vision for the Muslims, but (always one of those) I worried. How could I not. The press never...never reportsed a decent story. Americans were surprised at the turn out and the joy expressed by the Iraqis, but Dan Rather said the tide had been turning against the terrorists for over two months. He knew but never told us. How's that for media coverage. I am glad I watch next to nothing of TV news, I would certainly have had more headaches then I already do. I am also glad that the elections were a success. The Iraqi priminister and his people have met every goal to turn their country around they have set, because they have fufilled their promise we must fufill ours, the insurgency must be destroyed and the American soldiers remain until its done or the Iraqis can finish it themselves, which will probably be in the next two years or so. Thank you Libertas
